Alexander Terra, a Jeet Kune Do Full Instructor, is one of the pioneers in promoting Jeet Kune Do in his country. He is officially the 3rd generation of legitimate lineage from Bruce Lee, having been a direct student of Vincent Raimondi (Ted Wong/Bruce Lee) through the Wednesday Night Group.
Throughout his years of refinement, he had the opportunity and honor to train with some of the biggest names in the global Jeet Kune Do community, such as Tim Tackett, Jeremy Lynch, Jim Sewell, Vincent Raimondi, Dan Inosanto, Richard Bustillo, and Yori Nakamura, constantly enhancing his techniques and teaching methodology.
Alexander is currently recognized by the Wednesday Night Group as an Official Instructor and the institution’s first representative in Latin America. Despite his professional acclaim, he continues to seek improvement constantly, believing that it is of utmost importance to fully grasp the four phases of the art developed by Bruce Lee (Jun Fan Gung Fu, his initial style, and subsequently his three evolutionary phases after the creation of Jeet Kune Do and its science, in each of his schools).
With a strong technical background in the field, he emphasizes that those interested in developing in Jeet Kune Do should seek out serious professionals recognized by national or international organizations, centered on the true philosophy and science of this art.
Over his 53 years, Sifu Alexander Terra has authored and published several instructional books and DVDs. He is currently one of the directors of the Brazilian Jeet Kune Do Association, where he conducts courses and seminars, as well as teaching a select group of students, viewing the martial art as a philosophy of life rather than just a job.
His most recent work, in May 2016, was as a technical reviewer for Bruce Lee’s most renowned work, “The Tao of Jeet Kune Do,” in collaboration with Chave Publishers.
