Impact & Edged Weapons

The focus of the IMPACT-EDGE program is to develop weapons skills using the Jeet Kune Do structure as a starting point. One can readily observe the influences of the Majapahit fighting systems integrated with innovative lessons from Europe, the Far East, Western Asia and surrounding regions. When combined, one discovers handling attributes which present certain lines or angles of attack which were previously unavailable in systems merely implementing a sword. This greatly influences the use of knives, and lends to appreciation of the combat effectiveness of an impact weapon. All the systems from which knowledge has been extracted were forged and tested in the heat of combat, not only from ancient times, but drawn from the experiences of wars and battles fought these past few centuries.

Beginning with impact and edged weapon familiarization, this program expands into the empty hands skills of disarming, striking, and the variants on grappling/wrestling associated with edged weapons.
